Telemetry RN Jobs in Wisconsin: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a telemetry rn in Wisconsin?
To become a telemetry rn in Wisconsin, you must hold an active Registered Nurse license issued by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, which requires passing the NCLEX-RN after completing an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Most Wisconsin hospitals also expect telemetry-specific training, including cardiac rhythm interpretation, before or shortly after hire.
How much do telemetry RNs make in Wisconsin?
Telemetry RNs in Wisconsin earn a median of about $95,530 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $77,470 for the lowest 10% to over $119,860 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire telemetry rns in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin telemetry rn roles are posted by American Traveler, Advocate Aurora Health, and Emerus and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Wisconsin's large integrated health systems, including those anchored in Milwaukee and Madison, account for the majority of ongoing openings across the state.
Which Wisconsin cities have the most telemetry rn jobs?
Milwaukee, Wausau, and Madison have the most telemetry rn openings in Wisconsin, reflecting the concentration of large hospital campuses and regional cardiac centers in those areas. Milwaukee leads because of its dense cluster of major health systems, while Madison's academic medical environment and Green Bay's growing regional medical infrastructure drive steady demand in those markets.
How can I get hired as a telemetry rn in Wisconsin with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to a new graduate residency program, which Froedtert Health, UW Health, and Ascension Wisconsin all operate for nurses entering specialty units without prior telemetry experience. Lateral moves from med-surg, emergency department, or ICU positions are also a common door in. Completing a basic cardiac arrhythmia interpretation course and holding ACLS certification before applying gives candidates a measurable edge in Wisconsin hiring.
