American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN with a CA RN license and at least 1 year of recent telemetry/acute care experience for a 13-week assignment.
Details
- Work in the Telemetry unit within MS/Tele, Cardiac Telemetry, and ER Holding settings
- Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Day shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 0700-1930
- Weekend coverage required
- Floating required across units
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; CPI Blue Card preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of recent telemetry/acute care experience required
- At least 1 year of full-time equivalent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years
- Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in work history
- Two supervisor references required for consideration
- Must pass EKG exam within 3 attempts
Additional Information
- Provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and rapid response/code team support
- Manage peripheral and central lines, PICC lines, and blood product administration
- Deliver respiratory care including oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP management, and chest tube care
- Support post-cardiac procedure care including pacemakers, cardiac catheterization, and TR Band management
- Provide neurological and orthopedic care including CVA, TBI, and post-surgical monitoring
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
- No blocked or self-scheduling permitted
- No RTO allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment; maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract preferred, with all requests submitted upfront
- Previous staff must have a minimum 1-year break in service to return as a traveler
