Part-time, full-time, and/or weekends
Essential Duties and/or Responsibilities:
- Collect information from clients using interviews and other assessment methods for diagnosis.
- Develop therapeutic treatment plans based on clients' goals and needs.
- Use research-based therapy techniques to assist clients in reaching their goals.
- Evaluate client progress to determine treatments effectiveness.
- Maintain timely notes.
- Refer clients to specialists and collaborate for treatment goals, if necessary.
- Collaborate with staff in a teamwork atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- State LPC license ---- (_NOT LPC-IT)_
- Highly ethical conduct & therapeutic practice .
- Experience with research-based methods such as CBT, behavior therapy, emotion-based therapy, and mindfulness techniques.
Experience and Education:
Minimum requirements:
- Master's degree (LPC) + 2 years experience
- Graduate and post-graduate therapy experience with children or teens, adults, and/or families, & couples
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Prioritizes ethics and excellence in conceptualization, relationship, and treatment arenas.
- Philosophy and Theory - Knowledge of philosophical systems, including basic values, ethics, ways of thinking, customs, practices, and impact on humans.
- Therapy and Counseling - Knowledge of theory, principles, research-based methods and assessments, and procedures for diagnosis & treatment. Ability to relate to clients.
- Psychology - Knowledge of human behavior; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and assessment and treatment of behavioral and mental health disorders.
- Complex Problem Solving - Knowledge for complex problem solving, evaluating options, and implementing solutions.
- Judgment and Decision Making - Exercises continual evaluation of the therapy process to determine techniques for client well-being.
- Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for relating to clients, meeting quality standards of care, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
- Requires note and/or report writing skills completed in a timely fashion.
- Time management skills in personal and professional arenas.
- Team-work skills with staff and colleagues.
