Treasury Manager Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a treasury manager in Georgia?
Most treasury manager roles in Georgia require a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, followed by several years in corporate finance or banking. Georgia does not issue a state license specific to treasury management, but employers consistently prefer or require the Certified Treasury Professional credential, issued by the Association for Financial Professionals. Candidates who combine that credential with experience in cash management or financial risk move into manager roles most reliably.
Which companies hire treasury managers in Georgia?
Employers hiring treasury managers in Georgia right now include UPS, Bank OZK, and New Relic, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of Fortune 500 regional headquarters, large hospital systems, and logistics companies creates steady, year-round demand for treasury talent across a range of industries.
Which Georgia cities have the most treasury manager jobs?
Atlanta, Alpharetta, and South Fulton account for the largest share of treasury manager openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates because it houses the corporate headquarters and regional finance operations of major employers in financial services, consumer goods, and transportation, while Savannah's growing port activity and Augusta's expanding healthcare sector sustain meaningful hiring in those markets as well.
Are there remote treasury manager jobs in Georgia?
Yes, though they are less common than in purely analytical or advisory roles, since treasury management often requires direct coordination with banking partners, internal finance teams, and ERP systems that larger employers prefer to manage on-site. About 100% of treasury manager openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026. Cash forecasting, reporting, and risk analysis functions are the most frequently offered in remote or hybrid arrangements.
How can I get hired as a treasury manager in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a treasury analyst or junior cash management role at a large Georgia employer, then building toward the manager title from within. Atlanta-based financial institutions, hospital systems such as Emory Healthcare and Piedmont Health, and logistics companies with regional finance teams regularly hire for analyst-level treasury positions that do not require prior treasury experience. Completing the Certified Treasury Professional exam early, or transitioning from a corporate accounting or accounts payable role, gives candidates a measurable edge in the Georgia market.
Where can I find and apply to treasury manager jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to treasury manager jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search by city or specialty to narrow to roles that match your background, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
