ABOUT OUR AGENCY:
I’ve proudly owned my agency for 8 years, but my State Farm journey began long before that — I spent 21 years as a team member before becoming an agent myself. I know exactly what it’s like to be in the role I’m hiring for, and that experience shapes how I lead, support, and develop my team every day.
We’re a small but mighty group — currently 4 team members and looking to grow to 5 or 6 — and our office truly feels like a family. Everyone has a voice, and we work together to help our customers while creating a positive, encouraging atmosphere where people enjoy coming to work.
Community involvement is a big part of who I am and what our agency stands for. I’m an active Rotarian, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and part of 100 Women Who Care. We also sponsor local youth programs and take pride in giving back wherever we can.
Team members enjoy great benefits including a 401k, health benefits, a hiring bonus, and the flexibility needed for a healthy work-life balance. This is a place where you can grow, feel supported, and make a real difference — both in your career and in the community.

Search Insurance Jobs in AlaskaInsurance Green Card Sponsorship Jobs in Alaska: Frequently Asked Questions
Which insurance companies in Alaska are known to sponsor Green Cards?
Premera Blue Cross operates a significant Alaska presence and has historically supported employment-based immigration for specialized roles. National carriers with Alaska offices, including larger property and casualty insurers, periodically sponsor Green Cards for hard-to-fill positions. State-run entities like the Alaska Division of Insurance indirectly shape demand. Sponsorship decisions depend on role seniority, labor market testing requirements, and individual employer immigration policies rather than company size alone.
Which cities in Alaska have the most insurance Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Anchorage accounts for the overwhelming majority of insurance employment in Alaska, hosting regional headquarters, claims centers, and underwriting offices for both national and Alaska-specific carriers. Fairbanks has a smaller but active insurance market serving interior and military communities. Juneau, as the state capital, attracts positions tied to public employee benefits administration and regulatory compliance, which occasionally include sponsored roles for qualified candidates.
What types of insurance roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Alaska?
Roles requiring specialized credentials tend to attract Green Card sponsorship most consistently. Actuaries with FSA or FCAS designations, licensed underwriters in commercial or marine lines, and senior claims examiners with complex litigation experience are common candidates. Compliance officers familiar with Alaska's unique regulatory framework and data analysts supporting insurance pricing models also appear in sponsored positions. Entry-level or generalist roles rarely meet the specialty occupation and labor market thresholds required for employment-based Green Card petitions.
How do I find insurance Green Card sponsorship jobs in Alaska?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters insurance Green Card sponsorship jobs in Alaska by visa type, making it straightforward to identify employers actively petitioning for permanent residency. Because Alaska's insurance market is smaller than coastal hubs, sponsored openings appear less frequently, so setting up alerts on Migrate Mate for new Alaska insurance listings helps ensure you don't miss relevant postings as they become available.
Are there Alaska-specific factors that affect Green Card sponsorship in the insurance industry?
Alaska's geographic isolation and smaller labor pool can work in a candidate's favor during the PERM labor market test, since employers may genuinely struggle to find qualified local workers for specialized roles. However, the overall volume of insurance employers is lower than in continental states, meaning fewer total sponsorship opportunities. Alaska also has distinct regulatory requirements around lines like aviation, marine, and oil and gas liability, which can create niche demand for internationally trained specialists.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card insurance jobs in Alaska?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
