Search Insurance Jobs in ArizonaInsurance Green Card Sponsorship Jobs in Arizona: Frequently Asked Questions
Which insurance companies sponsor Green Card visas in Arizona?
Several large carriers and specialty insurers with Arizona operations have sponsored Green Cards for foreign national employees, including Farmers Insurance, American Family Insurance, and Nationwide. Third-party administrators and reinsurance firms based in Phoenix and Scottsdale have also filed PERM labor certifications for actuarial, underwriting, and technology roles. Sponsorship decisions vary by employer, role, and internal HR policy, so confirming willingness to sponsor is essential during the hiring process.
Which cities in Arizona have the most insurance Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix is the clear center of Arizona's insurance job market, home to the regional headquarters and major operations of multiple national carriers, TPAs, and specialty insurers. Scottsdale has a strong concentration of financial services and insurance firms, particularly in specialty lines and reinsurance. Tempe and Chandler have smaller but growing insurance employer presences, largely tied to back-office and technology functions that frequently appear in PERM-based Green Card filings.
What types of insurance roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship?
Roles requiring specialized education and credentials are the most common Green Card sponsorship candidates in the insurance industry. Actuaries with ASA or FSA designations, underwriters with advanced analytical backgrounds, risk managers, claims specialists, and insurance technology professionals are frequently sponsored. These positions typically satisfy the EB-2 or EB-3 specialty occupation equivalents under PERM labor certification because they require at minimum a bachelor's degree in a specific discipline such as actuarial science, finance, or statistics.
How do I find insurance Green Card sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, letting you filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface Arizona insurance roles where employers have a history of Green Card sponsorship. Because sponsorship willingness is rarely stated in standard job postings, using a platform that cross-references DOL PERM data and employer filing history saves significant time. Migrate Mate narrows the pool to employers actively open to sponsoring, so you can focus your applications on realistic opportunities.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in insurance?
Arizona does not impose state-level restrictions on employer-sponsored Green Cards, but the competitive Phoenix and Scottsdale insurance markets mean employers have access to a large local talent pool, which can affect their motivation to pursue the time and expense of PERM labor certification. Professionals with credentials that are genuinely scarce domestically, such as fellowship-level actuaries or niche specialty lines underwriters, are in a stronger position to secure sponsorship from Arizona-based insurers willing to invest in the process.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card insurance jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
