Which companies sponsor visas for accountants in Arizona?
Large employers with a track record of sponsoring accounting roles in Arizona include Banner Health, Intel, American Express, Honeywell, and the Arizona offices of the Big Four firms: Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG. Regional banks, healthcare systems, and semiconductor manufacturers in the Greater Phoenix area also appear regularly in Department of Labor LCA filings for accounting positions.
Which visa types are most common for accountant roles in Arizona?
The H-1B is the most common visa for accountants in Arizona, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian or Mexican nationals may be eligible under the TN visa. Those with extraordinary professional recognition may explore the O-1 visa.
Which cities in Arizona have the most accountant sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix and Scottsdale account for the majority of accountant sponsorship activity in Arizona, driven by corporate headquarters, financial services firms, and large healthcare networks. Tempe also sees demand, largely connected to Arizona State University's business ecosystem and nearby tech employers. Tucson has a smaller but active market, particularly tied to the University of Arizona and regional healthcare.
How to find accountant visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters accountant roles in Arizona by visa sponsorship eligibility, saving you from sifting through listings that won't lead anywhere. Searching on Migrate Mate lets you focus on employers actively filing LCAs or petitions for accounting positions in cities like Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tempe, so your applications go to companies already open to sponsoring.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for accountants seeking visa sponsorship?
Arizona's strong growth in healthcare, semiconductors, and financial services means demand for accounting professionals remains steady, which supports sponsorship activity. Employers must meet DOL prevailing wage requirements for the specific metro area, which differ between Phoenix and Tucson. CPA licensure is regulated by the Arizona State Board of Accountancy, and international candidates should verify how their credentials align with Arizona's licensure requirements before applying.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored accountant jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
