Which companies sponsor visas for clinical research roles in Arizona?
Banner Health, Dignity Health, and Valleywise Health are among the larger Arizona employers with a track record of sponsoring work visas for clinical research professionals. Contract research organizations operating in the Phoenix metro, including PRA Health Sciences and Medpace, have also filed H-1B petitions for clinical research coordinators and associates. University-affiliated research programs at the University of Arizona and Arizona State University are additional sources of sponsorship.
Which visa types are most common for clinical research roles in Arizona?
The H-1B is the most widely used visa for clinical research coordinators, clinical research associates, and regulatory affairs roles in Arizona, as these positions generally qualify as specialty occupations requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status under the USMCA in certain research-related categories. J-1 visas are also common for postdoctoral and research fellow positions at Arizona's academic medical centers.
Which cities in Arizona have the most clinical research sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix is by far the largest hub for clinical research hiring in Arizona, driven by the concentration of hospital systems, outpatient research sites, and CRO offices in the metro area. Tucson is a secondary market, anchored by the University of Arizona Health Sciences and Banner University Medical Center. Scottsdale and Tempe also host research operations tied to biotech and medical device companies operating in the Greater Phoenix area.
How to find clinical research visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters clinical research roles in Arizona by visa sponsorship availability, so you're not sifting through listings that won't support work authorization. The platform aggregates positions from hospital systems, CROs, and life sciences employers across Phoenix and Tucson. Filtering by role type and state lets you identify which Arizona employers are actively hiring sponsored clinical research staff.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for clinical research visa sponsorship?
Arizona employers sponsoring H-1B workers must pay the prevailing wage for the specific clinical research role and geographic area, as determined by Department of Labor data for the Phoenix or Tucson metropolitan areas. Arizona's expanding medical corridor around Mayo Clinic's Scottsdale campus and the Phoenix Biomedical Campus has increased demand for experienced clinical research professionals, which can strengthen a candidate's position when approaching employers about sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored clinical research jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
