Which companies in Arizona sponsor visas for finance directors?
Large employers with established immigration programs are the most consistent sponsors for finance director roles in Arizona. Banner Health, Intel, American Express, Honeywell, and Freeport-McMoRan have all filed for senior finance positions in the state. National accounting and consulting firms with Phoenix offices, including Deloitte and KPMG, also sponsor at the director level when the candidate meets specialty occupation requirements.
Which visa types are most common for finance director roles in Arizona?
The H-1B is the most frequently used visa for finance directors in Arizona, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in finance, accounting, or a related field. Candidates with extraordinary professional recognition may pursue the O-1A. Multinational professionals transferring from a parent or affiliate company into a director role may qualify for the L-1A as a manager or executive transferee.
Which cities in Arizona have the most finance director sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix accounts for the largest share of finance director sponsorship activity in Arizona, given its concentration of corporate headquarters, financial services firms, and large healthcare employers. Scottsdale is a secondary hub with wealth management and financial advisory firms. Tempe and Chandler see demand from technology and semiconductor companies, while Tucson offers smaller but consistent opportunities through the University of Arizona and regional healthcare networks.
How to find finance director visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for finance director roles in Arizona without sorting through positions that don't support international candidates. You can filter by location and role type to surface employers actively filing for senior finance professionals in Phoenix, Scottsdale, and surrounding areas. This saves significant time compared to reviewing general job listings with no sponsorship information.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for finance directors pursuing visa sponsorship?
Arizona employers filing H-1B petitions for finance directors must meet the Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements for the Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale or Tucson metropolitan areas, which are published in the OFLC wage library. The state's concentration of semiconductor and defense industries means some finance director roles may involve export-controlled environments, which can affect hiring timelines. Arizona State University and the University of Arizona also supply pipeline talent, making competition at the senior level primarily international-to-domestic rather than entry-level.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance director jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
