Which companies sponsor visas for project executives in Arizona?
Large construction and engineering firms with Arizona offices are among the most active sponsors for project executive roles, including Hensel Phelps, DPR Construction, McCarthy Building Companies, and Sundt Construction. Healthcare systems such as Banner Health and technology employers in the Chandler and Tempe corridors also sponsor project executives, particularly for roles overseeing capital programs or enterprise-wide initiatives.
Which visa types are most common for project executive roles in Arizona?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for project executives in Arizona, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with multinational employer backgrounds may also qualify for the L-1A intracompany transferee visa, particularly when moving from a parent or affiliate company into a senior project leadership position.
Which cities in Arizona have the most project executive sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix accounts for the largest concentration of project executive sponsorship jobs in Arizona, driven by ongoing commercial construction, healthcare expansion, and infrastructure investment. Tempe, Scottsdale, and Chandler follow closely, with significant activity from technology campuses and mixed-use development projects. Tucson represents a smaller but consistent market, particularly tied to university construction programs and defense-related facilities.
How to find project executive visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find project executive visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona, as the platform filters listings specifically to roles where employers are open to sponsoring work visas. Rather than sorting through general job boards, you can focus on Arizona-based project executive openings already screened for sponsorship. Searching by city within the platform helps narrow results to Phoenix, Scottsdale, or Tempe based on where you want to work.
What state-specific factors affect visa sponsorship for project executives in Arizona?
Arizona's construction boom and growing technology sector have increased employer willingness to sponsor experienced project executives who can manage large-scale programs. Employers filing H-1B petitions must pay the Department of Labor's prevailing wage for the role and location, which is determined by the specific metro area, so Phoenix-based roles and Tucson-based roles carry different wage obligations. Arizona does not impose additional state-level visa requirements beyond federal standards, but competition for senior project leadership roles means sponsoring employers typically expect demonstrated experience managing multimillion-dollar project portfolios.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project executive jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
