Which companies sponsor visas for project executives in Tennessee?
Large general contractors and construction management firms are the most consistent sponsors for project executive roles in Tennessee. Companies like Turner Construction, Skanska, Mortenson, and Brasfield & Gorrie have filed H-1B visa petitions for senior project management positions in the state. Healthcare systems such as HCA Healthcare and Vanderbilt University Medical Center also hire project executives for capital programs and have documented sponsorship histories.
Which visa types are most common for project executive roles in Tennessee?
The H-1B is the most common visa for project executives in Tennessee, provided the role requires a specific bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or architecture. Candidates with an Australian passport may qualify for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is typically faster to obtain. Senior candidates with exceptional records may explore the O-1A, though the evidentiary bar is high for that category.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most project executive sponsorship jobs?
Nashville has the highest concentration of project executive sponsorship activity in Tennessee, driven by sustained commercial construction, healthcare infrastructure, and mixed-use development across the metro. Memphis sees demand tied to logistics facility construction and medical center expansions. Knoxville generates opportunities through University of Tennessee capital projects and regional industrial development. Chattanooga is a smaller but growing market for infrastructure-focused roles.
How to find project executive visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to roles where employers have a documented history of visa sponsorship, making it easier to identify project executive openings in Tennessee without sifting through positions that won't consider international candidates. You can filter by state and role type to focus on Tennessee-based construction and infrastructure employers. This saves significant time compared to applying broadly and discovering sponsorship limitations late in the process.
What should international candidates know about project executive hiring in Tennessee?
Project executive roles in Tennessee typically require demonstrated experience managing large-scale projects from preconstruction through closeout, and employers expect candidates to step into client-facing leadership immediately. Sponsorship for senior roles at this level often moves faster than entry-level positions because employers have a clearer business justification for the hire. Tennessee has no state income tax, which affects total compensation calculations when comparing offers across states.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project executive jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
