We’re proud to be "where the pets go" to find everything they need to live their best lives for more than 60 years — from their favorite meals and toys, to trusted supplies and expert support from people who get it, because we live it. We believe in the universal truths of pet parenthood — the boundless boops, missing slippers, late night zoomies and everything in between. And we’re here for it. Every tail wag, every vet visit, every step of the way. We are 29,000+ strong and together we nurture the pet-human bond in more than 1,500 Petco stores across the U.S., Mexico and Puerto Rico, 250+ Vetco Total Care hospitals, hundreds of preventive care clinics and eight distribution centers. Which animal care & pet services companies sponsor visas in Arkansas?
Large veterinary hospital chains with Arkansas locations, university-affiliated animal research facilities, and established veterinary practices in Little Rock and Fayetteville are most likely to sponsor visas. Companies typically sponsor for veterinarian positions requiring specialized degrees, veterinary technician roles, and research positions at facilities connected to the University of Arkansas system.
How to find animal care & pet services visa sponsorship jobs in Arkansas?
Use Migrate Mate to search specifically for animal care positions in Arkansas that offer visa sponsorship. Focus on veterinary hospitals in Little Rock, research facilities near universities, and established animal care practices. Many opportunities require veterinary degrees or specialized animal science backgrounds, making targeted searches more effective than broad applications.
Which visa types are most common for animal care & pet services roles in Arkansas?
H-1B visas are common for veterinarian positions requiring specialized degrees, while TN visas may apply for qualified Canadian and Mexican veterinarians. Research positions at university-affiliated facilities might qualify for J-1 or O-1 visas depending on the role's requirements and the candidate's qualifications and experience level.
Which cities in Arkansas have the most animal care & pet services sponsorship jobs?
Little Rock offers the highest concentration of sponsorship opportunities through larger veterinary practices and animal hospitals. Fayetteville, home to the University of Arkansas, provides research-focused positions and university-affiliated veterinary services. Smaller opportunities exist in Hot Springs and Fort Smith through established veterinary practices and regional animal care facilities.
What industry considerations affect animal care visa sponsorship in Arkansas?
Arkansas's lower cost of living affects prevailing wage calculations for sponsored positions, potentially making sponsorship more accessible for employers. The state's agricultural focus creates demand for large animal veterinarians and livestock specialists. University partnerships, particularly with the University of Arkansas, provide pathways for research positions and specialized animal science roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored animal care & pet services jobs in Arkansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
