Which medical devices companies in Arkansas sponsor Green Card visas?
Arkansas-based medical devices employers that have filed PERM labor certifications include manufacturing operations and regional distributors concentrated around Little Rock and Fort Smith. National medical devices companies with Arkansas facilities, such as those supplying hospital networks affiliated with Baptist Health and UAMS, have sponsored Green Cards for engineering and quality roles. Checking DOL PERM disclosure data reveals which specific employers have active sponsorship histories in the state.
Which cities in Arkansas have the most medical devices Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Little Rock sees the highest concentration of medical devices Green Card sponsorship activity in Arkansas, driven by proximity to major hospital systems and the UAMS medical campus. Fort Smith and Fayetteville also host manufacturing and distribution operations that periodically sponsor international workers. Smaller markets like Jonesboro and Conway are emerging as secondary clusters as Arkansas's life sciences footprint expands beyond the capital region.
What types of medical devices roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Arkansas?
Roles that commonly qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Arkansas's medical devices sector include quality engineers, regulatory affairs specialists, biomedical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and R&D scientists. These positions generally require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field, satisfying the specialty occupation standard that underpins most employment-based Green Card petitions filed through PERM and the EB-2 or EB-3 preference categories.

Are there any Arkansas-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in medical devices?
Arkansas employers sponsoring Green Cards must comply with federal PERM labor certification requirements, including posting the position statewide and demonstrating no qualified U.S. workers are available. Arkansas's lower cost of living means prevailing wages set by OFLC Wage Search can differ from rates in coastal markets, which affects how employers structure compensation for sponsored roles. Medical devices firms tied to Arkansas's hospital infrastructure often file under EB-2 for advanced-degree positions or EB-3 for skilled manufacturing roles.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card medical devices jobs in Arkansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
