Which medical devices companies sponsor Green Card visas in Arizona?
Several established medical devices employers in Arizona have a documented history of sponsoring permanent residency. Medtronic has significant operations in the Phoenix area and has filed PERM labor certifications for engineering and manufacturing roles. Stryker, Axon Medical Technologies, and smaller contract manufacturers in the Chandler and Tempe corridors also appear in PERM disclosure data. Sponsorship patterns vary by role, department, and company hiring cycle, so checking DOL PERM disclosure records is a reliable way to verify current activity.
Which cities in Arizona have the most medical devices Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix and its surrounding metro cities, including Tempe, Chandler, Mesa, and Scottsdale, concentrate the majority of Arizona's medical devices employment and Green Card sponsorship activity. Tucson has a secondary cluster, particularly around the University of Arizona's life sciences ecosystem. The Phoenix metro benefits from lower operating costs compared to coastal hubs, which has attracted both large device manufacturers and contract development organizations that hire internationally.
What types of medical devices roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Arizona?
Roles that consistently appear in PERM filings for the medical devices sector include quality engineers, regulatory affairs specialists, R&D engineers, manufacturing engineers, and software engineers working on embedded or FDA-regulated systems. These positions generally require at minimum a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline, which aligns with the specialty occupation and EB-2 or EB-3 eligibility criteria. Roles with highly specialized skill requirements or advanced degrees may also qualify under EB-1 or EB-2 NIW pathways.
How do I find medical devices Green Card sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and allows you to filter by Green Card sponsorship, industry, and state, making it straightforward to surface medical devices roles in Arizona. Because not every job posting explicitly advertises Green Card sponsorship, a focused platform like Migrate Mate helps identify employers with a verified sponsorship history in this sector. Combining that with DOL PERM disclosure data gives a fuller picture of which Arizona medical devices companies actively file for permanent residency.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in medical devices?
Arizona does not impose state-level restrictions on employment-based immigration sponsorship, so the process follows standard federal PERM and USCIS procedures. However, the medical devices industry is FDA-regulated, meaning employers often require candidates to already have work authorization before starting, since regulatory timelines and product development cycles can make long sponsorship delays operationally difficult. Candidates with existing work authorization such as H-1B status are generally more competitive when applying to Arizona medical devices companies that offer Green Card sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card medical devices jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
