Mercy Arkansas Critical Access Hospitals – Rural Emergency Medicine
Mercy Hospital is recruiting an emergency medicine physician (Family Medicine trained are welcome) for four critical-access hospitals located outside of Fort Smith, AR in Ozark, Booneville, Paris, and Waldon. We are a hospital-employed group with no partnership track/buy-in and equal parity, scheduling, and vote from day one! These cities are beautiful, rural communities surrounded by the Mark Twain National Forest and Ozark Mountains with exceptional outdoor recreation while being nearby to bigger cities.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- 25-bed, critical access hospital
- Annual ED volume of 5,000-10,000 patients
- Easy transfers (ground and air) to Mercy Hospital – Fort Smith, a trauma center and tertiary hospital within the same network
- Hospitalists available 24-hours per day for admissions
- No hospitalist work or inpatient rounding required
- MRI and CT available
- Basic emergency procedures are available including Glidescope and Ultrasound
- No trauma designation
- Less than 1.5 patients per hour on average
- EPIC EMR across Mercy
- Rated in the top 5% nationally for overall clinical excellence by Healthgrades
- Named in the top 100 critical-access hospitals in the US
