Search Distribution & Wholesale Jobs in CaliforniaDistribution & Wholesale Green Card Sponsorship Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
Which distribution and wholesale companies sponsor Green Card visas in California?
Large-scale distributors and wholesalers with significant California operations have a documented history of employment-based Green Card sponsorship. Companies such as McKesson, Cardinal Health, Sysco, Performance Food Group, and Amazon Fulfillment have filed PERM labor certifications for distribution and wholesale roles. Sponsorship is more common at enterprise-level employers with established immigration programs and dedicated HR or legal resources to manage the multi-stage process.
Which cities in California have the most distribution and wholesale Green Card sponsorship jobs?
The Inland Empire, specifically Ontario, Riverside, and San Bernardino, is California's largest distribution corridor and generates the highest concentration of wholesale and logistics employment. Los Angeles and its surrounding ports drive significant wholesale trade activity. The Bay Area, Sacramento, and Fresno also have active distribution networks, particularly in food wholesale, pharmaceutical distribution, and e-commerce fulfillment, all of which have produced sponsored positions.
What types of distribution and wholesale roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in California?
Roles that require a specific bachelor's degree or advanced education tend to qualify under EB-2 or EB-3 categories. Common examples include supply chain analysts, logistics managers, procurement specialists, operations managers, and warehouse technology engineers. General labor and entry-level warehouse positions are less commonly sponsored for Green Cards, though EB-3 unskilled worker petitions exist. The role must meet the requirements established through the PERM labor certification process with the Department of Labor.
How do I find distribution and wholesale Green Card sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate is built specifically to surface jobs where employers have indicated willingness to sponsor immigration benefits, including Green Card sponsorship, in the distribution and wholesale sector. You can filter by California and by visa type to focus your search on relevant opportunities. Because sponsorship intent is often not stated in standard job postings, using a platform like Migrate Mate that consolidates this information saves significant research time for candidates in this industry.
Are there California-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in distribution and wholesale?
California's strong labor protections mean employers must conduct genuine recruitment before filing a PERM application, which is the first step toward most employment-based Green Cards. The state's high cost of living affects prevailing wage determinations, which can influence whether an employer proceeds with sponsorship for a given role. California's large immigrant workforce also means some employers in this sector have more established immigration sponsorship infrastructure than employers in smaller markets.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card distribution & wholesale jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
