Overview
We are seeking a dedicated OTC/Dietary Supplement Factory Encapsulation Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality dietary supplements through encapsulation processes, materials handling, and packaging operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing practices, laboratory procedures, and warehouse operations to support our commitment to product excellence.
Duties
- Operate encapsulation machinery to fill capsules accurately and efficiently, adhering to specified formulations and quality standards.
- Handle raw materials and finished products within the warehouse environment, ensuring proper storage, inventory control, and materials handling procedures.
- Assist with packaging operations, including labeling, sealing, and preparing products for shipment while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance or troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Follow laboratory protocols for sampling, quality testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with cGMP regulations.
- Utilize forklift or other material handling equipment safely to move raw materials and finished goods within the facility.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying waste reduction opportunities and promoting continuous improvement practices.
Skills
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments, particularly within dietary supplement or pharmaceutical industries.
- Knowledge of cGMP regulations and laboratory testing procedures relevant to supplement production.
- Familiarity with encapsulation machinery operation and maintenance.
- Experience with warehouse management systems, inventory control, and materials handling techniques.
- Ability to operate forklift safely; prior certification is preferred.
- Strong understanding of packaging processes for dietary supplements.
- Skilled in machining or equipment troubleshooting is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and quality assurance tasks.
