INTRODUCTION
Successful professional services firm located in downtown San Francisco is seeking a Human Resources Associate (Recruiting Focus) to join our team.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Associate with a strong focus on recruiting to join our team and help us attract and retain top talent. This individual will play a key role in supporting the firm with various administrative tasks while primarily focusing on the recruitment process. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently and contribute to the overall success of the firm.
We are a firm of approximately 30 people based in San Francisco, mainly accounting professionals and a few operational team members. This individual will interact with both potential candidates and external recruiting pipeline contacts as well as our firm's team members on a day to day basis. This role will be the primary HR support role in the firm and work independently under general supervision of the HR and Operations Partners.
This is a hands-on position that involves working within a team-oriented environment that encompasses all aspects of the administrative and recruiting operations, which are performed in accordance with firm standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment:
- Assist in developing and implementing recruitment strategies
- Post job openings on various job boards and social media platforms
- Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates
- Conduct initial phone screenings and schedule interviews
- Coordinate and participate in job fairs and recruitment events
- Maintain a database of potential candidates for future openings
- Develop and maintain relationships with universities for candidate pipeline
HR Administration:
- Assist with onboarding new employees, including preparing new hire paperwork and conducting orientation sessions
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy and completeness
- Assist in organizing training and development and mentorship programs
- Printing and sending routine reports from our database to support firm management
- Handle general HR inquiries and provide support to employees as needed
- Flexibility to proactively support other duties and special projects as needed
Knowledge and Skills:
- Possess exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time and project management skills to meet timing needs and prioritize tasks
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Clear, concise, friendly, and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Growth mindset - actively looks for ways to improve tasks and processes
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Strong sense of accountability and pride in one's work product
Experience Preferred:
- 1-3 years of experience in HR or recruitment
- College degree preferred
- Demonstrated skill in using Microsoft Office Suite
- Computer and internet savvy with the ability to learn new software skills and programs
Other Considerations:
- Full time position in San Francisco requiring in person duties
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
