INTRODUCTION
B2B social is broken. Most companies post into the void. You’ll build something people actually read.
The Company
Sendbird is on a mission to build the AI workforce of tomorrow. For over a decade, we built the infrastructure behind conversations—chat, voice, video, messaging APIs—and became the #1 CPaaS platform for in-app communications. 4,000+ brands trust us. 7 billion messages flow through our platform every month. 300 million monthly active users.
We powered conversations for DoorDash, Match Group, Noom, Yahoo Sports, Rakuten, and thousands of others. We were good at what we did. Really good.
We also saw it early: AI would fundamentally reshape how businesses talk to customers. The infrastructure we’d spent a decade building would become commoditized. The value would move up the stack—into intelligence, into experience, into outcomes.
We had a choice: protect what we built, or reinvent ourselves.
We chose reinvention. In December 2024, we made the full strategic pivot to AI-first customer experience. By February 2025, we’d launched our AI agent for enterprise CX—built on a decade of conversation data, now with intelligence on top. And in November 2025, we rebranded to Delight.ai.
The name says it all. AI’s real promise isn’t efficiency or cost savings. It’s giving customers back something they lost—the feeling of being truly understood and cared for. Not satisfied. Delighted.
The Product
Delight.ai is the AI concierge for customer experience. Most AI agents forget you the moment the conversation ends. Ours doesn’t. Delight.ai builds memory over time, learns preferences, and connects context across every channel—chat, SMS, email, voice, WhatsApp—without losing the thread. We’re building AI that makes customers feel understood, seen, and remembered.
Why Social Media Marketing Intern
AI is reshaping enterprise software, and Sendbird is at the center of it. The story is real and it’s moving fast. What’s missing is someone who can translate that momentum into LinkedIn content that stops the scroll, earns the follow, and builds a community around what we’re building.
This isn’t a "write three posts a week and call it done" role. You’ll own the content calendar, support executive thought leadership, and run our employee advocacy program, all while using AI tools to work faster and sharper than any intern before you.
The Role
You’ll own Sendbird’s LinkedIn presence end to end: drafting content, managing the calendar, energizing employee advocacy, and helping executives sound like themselves at their best. The right person here moves fast, writes well, and uses AI to do more with less.
You might be this person if:
- You’ve used AI to do something creative that you couldn’t have done as fast (or at all) on your own, and you’re always looking for the next way to push it further.
- You draft a social media post and immediately think about how to repurpose it into three more formats.
- You’ve edited a video, watched it back, and already knew three things you’d do differently next time.
- You can match a brand’s voice across a CEO’s post, a product update, and a company announcement without it feeling robotic.
- You notice when a B2B brand’s social presence is doing something clever and you want to reverse-engineer it.
- You’re as comfortable pulling performance data as you are writing copy, and you use both to make decisions.
- You treat a content calendar like a product: sequenced, intentional, and always a sprint ahead.
- You get genuinely curious about AI, customer experience, and enterprise tech, not just because it’s the job.
You need to have:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools for creative tasks, such as designing, building, or problem-solving, not just writing or editing.
- Proven ability to edit and produce short-form video content, with examples to show for it.
- Comfort collaborating across time zones and working with creative teams via tools like Jira and Figma.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills tailored to LinkedIn’s B2B audience.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects without dropping threads.
What you’ll actually do:
- Draft and schedule LinkedIn posts for Sendbird’s company account and executive profiles, keeping tone, visuals, and strategy locked in.
- Treat AI as your creative co-pilot: turn one blog, webinar, or product update into posts, carousels, and video scripts people actually share.
- Own and maintain the social content calendar, keeping campaigns coordinated across marketing, product, and design.
- Run Sendbird’s employee advocacy program in Sprout Social, curating content, tracking engagement, and publishing weekly participation highlights.
- Partner with the CEO and executives to develop authentic thought leadership content that reflects how they actually think about AI and CX.
- Monitor industry conversations, engage with relevant AI and CX content, and build Sendbird’s visibility in communities that matter.
- Track performance metrics weekly and surface insights that actually change what we post next.
Added Value:
- Familiarity with Sprout Social or a comparable social management platform.
- Demonstrated AI fluency across creative tasks, whether that’s automating workflows, generating visuals, or experimenting with AI-assisted design.
Program Details:
- Duration: 12-16 weeks.
- Hours: Part-time, up to 20 hours per week.
- Compensation: $30.00 per hour.
- Location: Hybrid with 2-3 days onsite per week at our San Mateo office.
- Start date: As soon as possible.
What you get:
- Impactful projects designed to build real, transferable skills.
- Structured mentorship with weekly check-ins and a clear growth plan.
- Sendbird laptop provided.
- Free lunch on Wednesdays, plus unlimited coffee, tea, and snacks in the office!
Flexible Work Policy
We offer a flexible work schedule at Sendbird. We also value collaboration and relationship building. With those values in mind, we require all employees within an hour’s commute range of their local office to gather with their team in the office 2 days per week as a minimum. Some of our roles require a more frequent in-office schedule. Please work with your manager to understand the office time requirements for your position.
What diversity and inclusion mean to us
There is no such thing as a perfect candidate and the best employees come from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and skill sets. Sendbird is a place where everyone can learn and grow. We respect, promote, and encourage diversity for equal employment opportunities and encourage you to apply if this role excites you.
Why Sendbird
We’re not optimizing a mature product. We’re rebuilding how enterprises talk to customers, with AI at the center. If you want your internship to matter, this is where the work is real, the pace is fast, and what you ship gets seen.

Which companies sponsor visas for social media marketers in California?
California's largest tech and media companies are among the most active sponsors for social media marketing roles. Meta, Google, Snap, Netflix, Adobe, and Salesforce have all filed Labor Condition Applications for marketing positions in the past. Consumer brands with major California offices, including Hulu and Riot Games, also sponsor. Sponsorship is not guaranteed, and each company's willingness varies by role, team, and hiring cycle.
Which visa types are most common for social media marketing roles in California?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for social media marketing roles in California, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Candidates with degrees in computer science or data analytics who work in performance marketing may also qualify. The O-1A is an option for individuals with demonstrable recognition in their field, such as published work or significant industry awards.
Which cities in California have the most social media marketing sponsorship jobs?
Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area account for the largest share of sponsored social media marketing roles in California. Los Angeles is particularly strong for entertainment, influencer marketing, and consumer brands, while the Bay Area concentrates tech-driven roles at companies like Meta, Google, and Salesforce. San Diego has a smaller but growing cluster tied to its biotech and e-commerce sectors.
How to find social media marketing visa sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate is designed specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship jobs, including social media marketing roles in California. The platform filters jobs by sponsorship history and state, so you can see which California employers have actively sponsored marketing positions rather than guessing. Filtering by role type on Migrate Mate helps narrow results to positions where sponsorship is a realistic part of the hiring conversation.
Are there any California-specific considerations for social media marketing visa applicants?
California's high prevailing wage requirements for H-1B positions reflect the state's elevated cost of living, particularly in the Bay Area and Los Angeles. Employers must certify that offered wages meet Department of Labor prevailing wage levels for the specific occupation and metropolitan area. California's dense university network, including UCLA, USC, and UC Berkeley, also means strong local graduate competition, so international candidates benefit from clearly articulating specialized skills or language capabilities.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored social media marketing jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
