Which companies sponsor visas for solutions architects in California?
Major tech employers in California with a track record of sponsoring solutions architects include Salesforce, Cisco, Google, Apple, Oracle, Adobe, and Amazon Web Services. Enterprise software and cloud infrastructure companies file Labor Condition Applications for this role regularly, and DOL disclosure data consistently shows California-based filings from both large corporations and mid-size SaaS companies headquartered in the Bay Area and Los Angeles.
Which visa types are most common for solutions architect roles in California?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for solutions architects in California, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field, satisfying the specialty occupation requirement. Australian citizens may qualify for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery. Canadians and Mexicans with qualifying credentials may be eligible under the TN visa category.
How to find solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to find solutions architect roles in California without sorting through employers who won't sponsor. You can narrow results by state and role to see which California-based companies are actively hiring and have a history of sponsoring international candidates for technical pre-sales and architecture positions.
Which cities in California have the most solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
The San Francisco Bay Area, including San Jose, San Francisco, and Santa Clara, generates the highest volume of solutions architect sponsorship jobs in California given the density of enterprise tech and cloud companies headquartered there. Los Angeles is a secondary hub, particularly for media-tech and e-commerce employers. San Diego has a smaller but active market, especially among defense tech, biotech, and cybersecurity firms.
Are there any state-specific considerations for solutions architect sponsorship jobs in California?
California employers must comply with DOL prevailing wage requirements when filing a Labor Condition Application, and prevailing wages for solutions architects in the Bay Area are among the highest in the country due to the local wage survey data used. California's large university system, including UC Berkeley and UCLA, also creates a strong pipeline of international graduates who enter the H-1B sponsorship process directly from OPT status.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored solutions architect jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
