Which companies in Utah sponsor visas for solutions architects?
Adobe, Qualtrics, Instructure, Domo, and eBay have offices in Utah's Silicon Slopes corridor and have filed H-1B visa Labor Condition Applications for technical roles including solutions architects. Larger employers like Amazon Web Services and Microsoft also have Utah presences with established sponsorship programs. Healthcare technology companies such as Health Catalyst and Healtheon are additional sources of sponsorship activity in the state.
Which visa types are most common for solutions architect roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa for solutions architects in Utah, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related engineering field. Candidates already holding L-1B intracompany transferee status or O-1 visa extraordinary ability visas may also find pathways, depending on their employer relationship and professional record.
Which cities in Utah have the most solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City and the Lehi-Draper corridor, commonly called Silicon Slopes, account for the large majority of solutions architect openings in Utah. Provo and Orem also have meaningful activity given the proximity to Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University. Outside the Wasatch Front, sponsorship opportunities are limited, so most internationally sponsored hires are concentrated within these northern Utah metro areas.
How to find solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse solutions architect roles posted by Utah employers who are open to sponsoring. Rather than sorting through general job boards and guessing which postings include sponsorship, Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsorship-friendly listings so you can focus your applications on companies in Silicon Slopes and the Salt Lake metro that are already prepared to support international candidates.
Are there state-specific considerations for solutions architects pursuing sponsorship in Utah?
Utah's tech sector is heavily concentrated around the Silicon Slopes ecosystem, and many employers there are growth-stage companies that may have less established H-1B sponsorship infrastructure than large multinationals. Prevailing wage requirements for solutions architects in the Salt Lake metro are determined by the Department of Labor's wage levels for the area, so employers must meet those benchmarks regardless of company size. Graduates from the University of Utah's computing programs are a common local talent pipeline, which can increase competition for sponsorship slots at mid-size firms.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored solutions architect jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
