Which companies sponsor visas for solutions architects in New York?
Large enterprise employers with consistent H-1B sponsorship records for solutions architects in New York include IBM, JPMorgan Chase, Salesforce, Oracle, and Google. Major consulting firms such as Deloitte, Accenture, and Cognizant also file significant volumes of H-1B petitions for solutions architect roles across their New York offices. DOL disclosure data is the most reliable way to verify which employers are actively sponsoring.
Which visa types are most common for solutions architect roles in New York?
The H-1B is the most common visa for solutions architects in New York, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify for the TN visa under the USMCA. Those with extraordinary achievement in their field may explore the O-1A, though it requires substantial documentation of recognition.
Which cities in New York have the most solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan accounts for the largest share of solutions architect sponsorship jobs in New York, driven by the concentration of financial services firms, enterprise technology companies, and cloud providers with major offices there. Buffalo and Rochester have smaller but active tech sectors, particularly around manufacturing technology and healthcare IT. Albany attracts solutions architect roles tied to state government IT modernization projects and nearby university research partnerships.
How to find solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate filters solutions architect roles in New York specifically by visa sponsorship, so you can browse positions without sorting through employers who won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces roles from companies with documented H-1B sponsorship history, which is particularly useful in New York where the job market is large but sponsorship willingness varies significantly between employers, especially among smaller firms and startups.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for solutions architects seeking visa sponsorship?
New York's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B solutions architects are set at the metropolitan area level, with New York City commanding some of the highest wage floors in the country due to its classification as a high-cost labor market. Employers must certify on the Labor Condition Application that the offered position meets those local standards. Solutions architects targeting financial services firms should also expect thorough background screening processes, which can extend overall hiring timelines.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored solutions architect jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
