We are seeking a strong, motivated Senior Software Engineer to lead the evolution of our digital platforms. In this role, you will champion the development, implementation, and maintenance of innovative, content-management-based software solutions. Your immediate focus will be driving a critical architectural shift: evaluating our current on-premises Sitecore XM custom setup, mapping out a migration strategy, and building an end-to-end Proof of Concept (PoC) in Sitecore XM Cloud.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Migration Strategy & Scoping: Identify migration scope and build a detailed list of tasks required to port custom, on-premises XM implementations to Sitecore XM Cloud.
- PoC Execution: Develop, deploy, test, and verify an end-to-end PoC that validates the new Sitecore XM Cloud architecture.
- Technical Documentation: Author comprehensive migration blueprints, including detailed architecture and design diagrams.
- Collaborative Development: Work actively within an agile team to build and maintain high-performance CMS solutions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Sitecore Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience implementing Sitecore XM Cloud or leading migrations from on-premises Sitecore XP/XM headless solutions to Sitecore XM Cloud. Proven ability to audit legacy custom CMS codebases and translate them into modern, cloud-native technical tasks.
- Backend Development: Strong proficiency in C# and .NET architectures for handling legacy custom logic and integration endpoints.
- Frontend Architecture: Modern web development mastery using Next.js and TypeScript within a decoupled, headless framework.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Hosting & Rendering: Experience utilizing Vercel or managing on-premises Node.js servers for headless hosting within a Sitecore architecture.
- Infrastructure Design: Background building or architecting high-availability (HA) setups to ensure maximum platform uptime.

Which companies sponsor visas for solutions architects in New Jersey?
Companies with consistent H-1B visa sponsorship histories for solutions architect roles in New Jersey include Cognizant, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, JPMorgan Chase, and Verizon. Financial services firms along the Jersey City waterfront and pharma companies in the Route 1 and Route 287 corridors also sponsor regularly. Sponsorship patterns vary by year and business need, so checking recent DOL LCA disclosure data gives the clearest picture of active sponsors.
Which visa types are most common for solutions architect roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for solutions architects in New Jersey, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field, satisfying the specialty occupation standard. The L-1A and L-1B are also used when candidates transfer from a multinational employer's overseas office. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify under the TN visa's computer systems analyst category.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
Jersey City generates the highest concentration of solutions architect sponsorship activity in New Jersey, driven by financial services firms with offices adjacent to Manhattan. Parsippany, Basking Ridge, and Florham Park are active hubs due to pharma, technology, and telecom headquarters in Morris and Somerset counties. Princeton and New Brunswick see demand from life sciences and consulting firms. Newark also has a growing employer base tied to financial technology and professional services.
How to find solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship status, so you can search solutions architect roles in New Jersey without sorting through positions that don't sponsor. The platform surfaces active openings from employers with documented sponsorship histories, which is particularly useful for this role given how sponsorship willingness varies across New Jersey's financial services, pharma, and telecom sectors. Filtering by state and role together saves significant time compared to unfiltered job searches.
Are there any state-specific considerations for solutions architects seeking sponsorship in New Jersey?
New Jersey has a high cost of living, and DOL prevailing wage determinations for solutions architect roles in the state reflect that. Employers filing Labor Condition Applications must attest to paying the prevailing wage for the Newark-Jersey City metropolitan statistical area or the appropriate New Jersey county, which sets a meaningful wage floor. New Jersey's concentration of IT consulting firms and financial services employers also means many sponsorship cases are filed by consulting companies rather than end clients, which is worth understanding when evaluating job offers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored solutions architect jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
