Which companies sponsor visas for solutions architects in Florida?
Large technology and cloud services companies with Florida offices are the most active sponsors for solutions architect roles. Employers including Amazon Web Services, IBM, Cisco, Microsoft, and Chewy have filed H-1B petitions for solutions architects in Florida. Healthcare IT firms and defense contractors concentrated around Orlando and Tampa also sponsor regularly, particularly for architects with cloud infrastructure or enterprise integration backgrounds.
Which visa types are most common for solutions architect roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa for solutions architects in Florida, as the role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify for the TN visa under the NAFTA/USMCA engineer category. Australian citizens may also consider the E-3 visa for qualifying positions.
Which cities in Florida have the most solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads Florida for solutions architect sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of financial technology firms, cloud service providers, and multinational technology companies. Tampa is the second-largest hub, with strong demand from healthcare IT companies and managed service providers. Orlando contributes through its simulation technology, defense, and hospitality technology sectors, where enterprise architecture skills are in consistent demand.
How to find solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters solutions architect job listings specifically to employers who have a verified history of visa sponsorship, making it straightforward to identify Florida-based opportunities without sorting through companies unlikely to sponsor. You can filter by city, visa type, and role to focus on Miami, Tampa, or Orlando positions. Migrate Mate is built for international candidates navigating the sponsorship process, so every listed role is relevant to your situation.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for solutions architects seeking visa sponsorship?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects how prevailing wage determinations compare to total compensation in other states. Solutions architects in Florida should confirm that job descriptions explicitly require a specific technical degree, since USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation eligibility carefully for architecture roles. Florida's university pipeline, including the University of Florida and University of South Florida, also means local employers are accustomed to hiring international graduates who need sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored solutions architect jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
