L-1B visas apply when a candidate transfers within a multinational employer.

Nashville leads the state by volume, driven by its dense concentration of healthcare IT, fintech, and enterprise software companies. Chattanooga has emerged as a secondary hub with growing cloud infrastructure and logistics technology employers. Are there state-specific considerations for solutions architects pursuing visa sponsorship in Tennessee?

The Department of Labor's prevailing wage determinations for solutions architect roles vary by metro area, with Nashville commanding higher wage levels than Chattanooga or Knoxville. What is the prevailing wage for sponsored solutions architect jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
