- Champion the enterprise Information Security strategy by aligning product vision, roadmap, and long-term strategy with business goals, enterprise architecture standards, and regulatory/security requirements.
- Proactively identify security gaps and improvement opportunities, leveraging risk-based reporting and trend analysis to shape risk posture, strengthen adoption, and keep LOB leadership informed of emerging threats and industry developments.
- Maintain deep awareness of the IT and threat landscape—including applications, infrastructure, and external-facing environments—to effectively manage risk and coordinate internal and external security assessments.
- Establish and track product KPIs, dashboards, and reporting cadences to ensure transparency into performance, adoption, value realization, and overall control effectiveness.
- Lead product optimization efforts, including consolidation, automation, and rationalization initiatives to reduce technical debt, enhance user experience, and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and deliver executive- and board-level communications to drive alignment, informed decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration across Security, Legal, Risk, Surveillance, and other key stakeholders.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with 8+ years of progressive experience across multiple information security disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of IT governance and compliance frameworks, including IT General Controls, PCI-DSS, SOX, and Gaming MICS, with relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, and/or CISA highly desired.
- Proven experience designing, deploying, supporting, and communicating enterprise Information Security solutions in collaboration with business stakeholders and vendors; industry experience in hospitality or gaming preferred.
- Demonstrated success defining and executing multi-year product roadmaps for enterprise platforms, balancing technical debt, regulatory requirements, security controls, and business innovation.
- Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language, influence cross-functional stakeholders in matrixed environments, and deliver executive-level communications.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, perform under pressure, and drive continuous process improvement.

Which companies in Nevada sponsor visas for solutions architects?
MGM Resorts International, Caesars Entertainment, and Switch (a major data center operator headquartered in Las Vegas) have each filed H-1B visa petitions for solutions architect roles. Regional managed service providers and cloud consulting firms operating out of Las Vegas and Reno also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data as sponsors for this role category.
Which visa types are most common for solutions architect roles in Nevada?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for solutions architects in Nevada, given that the role consistently qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Candidates already holding L-1B intracompany transferee status or TN visas (for Canadian and Mexican nationals) may also find pathways through Nevada employers without entering the H-1B lottery.
Which cities in Nevada have the most solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
Las Vegas accounts for the large majority of Nevada's solutions architect sponsorship activity, driven by its hospitality technology sector and Switch's data center operations. Reno is a secondary hub with growing presence from Tesla's Gigafactory supply chain, warehousing tech firms, and Microsoft's regional data center investments, creating demand for enterprise architecture talent.
How to find solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in Nevada?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse solutions architect roles in Nevada without sorting through positions that don't sponsor. Because Nevada's sponsoring employers skew toward hospitality tech and data center operations, searching by those industries on Migrate Mate can surface employers who have an established track record of filing H-1B petitions for this role.
Are there any Nevada-specific considerations for solutions architects seeking visa sponsorship?
Nevada has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons during the Labor Condition Application process. Employers must still meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the Las Vegas or Reno metro area specifically. Solutions architects targeting Nevada should also note that hospitality-sector employers often require familiarity with property management systems and loyalty platform integrations, which can influence how a role is classified for sponsorship purposes.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored solutions architect jobs in Nevada?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
