Search Automation Jobs in ColoradoAutomation Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for automation roles in Colorado?
Lockheed Martin, Ball Corporation, Arrow Electronics, and Raytheon Technologies have documented H-1B sponsorship histories for engineering and automation-related roles in Colorado. Amazon and Jabil also sponsor for controls and process automation positions. Sponsorship activity is concentrated in aerospace, defense manufacturing, and electronics firms along the Denver-Boulder Front Range corridor.
Which visa types are most common for automation roles in Colorado?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for automation engineers and controls specialists in Colorado, as most roles require a bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or systems engineering. TN visas apply for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering occupations. O-1 visas are available for candidates with demonstrated extraordinary ability in automation or robotics research.
Which cities in Colorado have the most automation sponsorship jobs?
Denver and its southern suburbs, particularly Littleton and Englewood, account for a significant share of automation sponsorship activity due to the concentration of aerospace and defense contractors. Boulder attracts automation talent tied to research and instrumentation companies. Colorado Springs also has relevant hiring activity connected to defense systems and manufacturing operations at nearby facilities.
How to find automation visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship eligibility, making it easier to identify automation roles in Colorado without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. You can search by role type and state to surface relevant openings from employers with active sponsorship histories in industrial automation, robotics, and controls engineering across the Front Range.
Are there state-specific considerations for automation sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers to post compensation ranges publicly, which gives international candidates useful context when evaluating whether a role meets H-1B prevailing wage requirements before applying. The state's aerospace and defense industry concentration also means many automation roles involve federal contracts, which can affect clearance requirements and, in some cases, sponsorship eligibility for certain visa categories.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored automation jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
