Which companies sponsor visas for data science analysts in Colorado?
Employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories for data science analyst roles in Colorado include Lockheed Martin, Palantir Technologies, Arrow Electronics, Dish Network, and Centura Health. Federal contractors in the Denver-Aurora area and technology firms along the Boulder corridor are among the most active sponsors. Checking Department of Labor LCA disclosure data confirms which employers have filed for data science positions in the state.
Which visa types are most common for data science analyst roles in Colorado?
The H-1B is the most common visa for data science analysts in Colorado, given that the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related field. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, while Canadian and Mexican nationals may be eligible for TN visa status under the USMCA. OPT and STEM OPT are also common pathways for recent graduates transitioning into full-time roles.
Which cities in Colorado have the most data science analyst sponsorship jobs?
Denver accounts for the largest share of data science analyst sponsorship activity in Colorado, driven by its concentration of technology companies, healthcare systems, and financial services firms. Boulder is a secondary hub, particularly for data-intensive startups and research-oriented organizations affiliated with the University of Colorado. Colorado Springs sees demand from aerospace and defense contractors, and the broader Denver-Aurora metro hosts federal agencies and government contractors that sponsor data roles.
How to find data science analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to find data science analyst roles in Colorado without sorting through positions that don't support international candidates. You can search by state and role type to surface employers currently hiring in Denver, Boulder, and Colorado Springs. Migrate Mate also provides context on which companies have sponsored similar roles historically, which helps prioritize outreach.
Are there state-specific factors that affect data science analyst sponsorship in Colorado?
Colorado's strong university pipeline, particularly from the University of Colorado Boulder and Colorado State University, means employers are accustomed to hiring internationally trained candidates and navigating sponsorship processes. The state's aerospace and defense sector introduces an important consideration: many roles with federal contractors require security clearances, which can be difficult for non-citizens to obtain and may effectively limit sponsorship opportunities at those employers. Technology and healthcare organizations generally face fewer clearance-related restrictions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data science analyst jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
