Which companies sponsor visas for director of program management roles in Colorado?
Lockheed Martin and Raytheon Technologies sponsor at the director level through their extensive Colorado aerospace and defense operations. Amazon Web Services and Oracle maintain large Denver-area engineering and cloud infrastructure offices that hire senior program leaders. Arrow Electronics, headquartered in Centennial, and Dish Network have also filed Labor Condition Applications for program management positions at or near the director level.
Which visa types are most common for director of program management roles in Colorado?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for director of program management positions in Colorado, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as engineering, computer science, or business. L-1A intracompany transferee visas are also used when candidates are moving from a multinational employer's foreign office into a Colorado-based director role. O-1 visas appear occasionally for candidates with demonstrated exceptional achievement.
Which cities in Colorado have the most director of program management sponsorship jobs?
Denver and its immediate suburbs, including Aurora, Centennial, and Englewood, account for the large majority of director of program management sponsorship activity in Colorado. Colorado Springs is a secondary hub, driven by defense contractors and military-adjacent technology firms operating near Fort Carson and Peterson Space Force Base. Boulder sees demand from software and aerospace companies, though at lower overall volume than the Denver metro.
How to find director of program management visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search director of program management openings in Colorado without sifting through roles that won't support international candidates. Because director-level roles are often filled through targeted outreach rather than broad postings, Migrate Mate's curated board helps surface positions from Colorado employers with an established track record of sponsoring senior program management talent.
Are there any Colorado-specific considerations for director of program management visa sponsorship?
Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers to disclose compensation ranges in job postings, which gives international candidates useful context when evaluating whether a role meets H-1B prevailing wage requirements before applying. Defense and aerospace employers in Colorado frequently require security clearance eligibility, which can complicate sponsorship since most clearances are restricted to U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Candidates should confirm clearance requirements early in the process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored director of program management jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
