Which companies sponsor visas for director of program management roles in Florida?
Florida's largest visa sponsors for director of program management positions include defense and aerospace firms such as Lockheed Martin, L3Harris, and Northrop Grumman, concentrated along the Space Coast. Healthcare systems like AdventHealth and HCA Florida, along with technology employers in Miami's growing tech corridor, also have documented H-1B sponsorship histories for senior program management leadership.
Which visa types are most common for director of program management roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa for director of program management roles, as the position typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as engineering, business, or computer science. Multinational companies like Lockheed Martin and Accenture also use the L-1A for intracompany transferees moving into director-level management roles from an overseas office.
Which cities in Florida have the most director of program management sponsorship jobs?
Orlando and the Space Coast region around Melbourne and Titusville concentrate heavily in aerospace and defense program management, driven by proximity to Kennedy Space Center and Patrick Space Force Base. Miami leads in tech and financial services program management, while Tampa hosts a strong healthcare and operations management cluster. Jacksonville also sees demand through its logistics and financial services sectors.
How to find director of program management visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify Florida employers actively hiring director of program management candidates who need H-1B or other work visa support. Rather than sorting through unfiltered postings, you can search directly for director of program management roles in Florida on Migrate Mate and focus only on employers who have confirmed sponsorship.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for director of program management visa sponsorship?
Florida's defense and aerospace sector requires security clearances for many program management roles, which can complicate sponsorship since clearances are generally not accessible to non-U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Candidates targeting commercial sectors like healthcare or technology in Miami and Orlando face fewer clearance barriers. Florida also has several research university pipelines, including the University of Florida and University of Miami, that feed into program management talent networks.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored director of program management jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
