Which companies sponsor visas for director of program management roles in Minnesota?
UnitedHealth Group, Optum, Target, 3M, Medtronic, and Cargill are among the Minnesota employers with documented histories of sponsoring work visas for senior program management positions. These organizations have in-house immigration teams or established relationships with immigration counsel, which makes them better positioned to support H-1B visa and other visa categories for director-level hires.
Which visa types are most common for director of program management roles in Minnesota?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for director of program management roles in Minnesota, as the position typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as business, engineering, or computer science. Candidates with extraordinary ability may qualify for an O-1 visa, while those already holding an L-1A through a multinational employer have a well-established path for director-level transfers.
Which cities in Minnesota have the most director of program management sponsorship jobs?
The Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro accounts for the large majority of director of program management openings in Minnesota. Minnetonka, Eden Prairie, and Bloomington are particularly active due to the headquarters presence of companies like UnitedHealth Group, Optum, and Medtronic. Rochester sees some demand tied to Mayo Clinic's healthcare and technology operations, though volume there is considerably lower than the Twin Cities.
How to find director of program management visa sponsorship jobs in Minnesota?
Migrate Mate filters director of program management roles specifically by visa sponsorship willingness, so you can browse Minnesota openings without sorting through positions that don't support international candidates. The platform focuses on employer-sponsored roles in states like Minnesota where healthcare and technology sectors actively recruit senior program leaders from outside the U.S., making your search considerably more targeted.
Are there any Minnesota-specific considerations for director of program management sponsorship candidates?
Minnesota's concentration of Fortune 500 employers in healthcare and retail means sponsoring organizations tend to have mature HR and legal infrastructure, which generally supports smoother H-1B petition processes for director-level roles. The University of Minnesota and Mayo Clinic also supply a pipeline of internationally trained professionals into the state's workforce, creating familiarity with visa sponsorship among many local employers across program and operations management functions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored director of program management jobs in Minnesota?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
