Which companies sponsor visas for directors of program management in New Jersey?
New Jersey's pharma and biotech sector accounts for a significant share of sponsorships, with companies like Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Becton Dickinson, and Catalent filing H-1B visa petitions for senior program management roles. Financial services firms and technology companies based in Jersey City and the Route 1 corridor also have established sponsorship track records for director-level positions.
Which visa types are most common for director of program management roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for director of program management roles in New Jersey, as the position typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specialized field such as engineering, business, or computer science. Candidates with extraordinary achievement may qualify for an O-1A. Intracompany transferees moving into a managerial capacity may also use the L-1A through a multinational employer with New Jersey operations.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most director of program management sponsorship jobs?
Jersey City leads for financial services and technology employers, given its proximity to New York City. The Route 1 corridor towns of New Brunswick, Princeton, and Bridgewater are dense with pharma and life sciences companies that regularly sponsor director-level program management roles. Parsippany and Florham Park in Morris County also host regional headquarters for several multinational firms with active sponsorship histories.
How to find director of program management visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search for director of program management roles in New Jersey without manually screening out positions that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces openings from employers with documented sponsorship histories, which is particularly useful for a senior role where sponsorship willingness varies significantly by company and hiring cycle.
Are there any state-specific considerations for director of program management visa sponsorship in New Jersey?
New Jersey's concentration of Fortune 500 pharmaceutical and life sciences headquarters means many sponsoring employers here operate mature global mobility programs, which can streamline the H-1B process. However, director-level roles typically require the employer to document that the position meets the specialty occupation standard, and prevailing wage determinations for senior program management in New Jersey reflect the state's high cost of labor, which employers must account for in LCA filings.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored director of program management jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
