Search Director Of Program Management Jobs in NebraskaDirector Of Program Management Jobs in Nebraska: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for director of program management roles in Nebraska?
Omaha-based employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories for program management leadership include Union Pacific Railroad, Mutual of Omaha, and First Data (now Fiserv). Nebraska Medicine and CHI Health sponsor director-level roles in healthcare program management. In Lincoln, Nelnet and Sandhills Global have also appeared in Department of Labor disclosure data for sponsored management positions. Sponsorship availability varies by hiring cycle and role-specific requirements.
Which visa types are most common for director of program management roles in Nebraska?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for director of program management roles in Nebraska, as the position typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, engineering, or a related field, satisfying the specialty occupation standard. Candidates already holding L-1A intracompany transferee status can also move into director-level roles if transferring from a qualifying multinational employer. O-1 visas are less common but possible for candidates with exceptional project or program management credentials.
How to find director of program management visa sponsorship jobs in Nebraska?
Migrate Mate filters director of program management roles specifically to Nebraska employers who have sponsored work visas, saving you from sorting through postings that won't lead to sponsorship. Because director-level program management roles in Nebraska are concentrated in Omaha's financial services and healthcare sectors, setting alerts for those industries on Migrate Mate helps you reach relevant openings early. Checking Department of Labor LCA disclosure data alongside Migrate Mate listings can further confirm an employer's active sponsorship history.
Which cities in Nebraska have the most director of program management sponsorship jobs?
Omaha accounts for the large majority of director of program management sponsorship activity in Nebraska. Its concentration of Fortune 500 and large regional employers in financial services, insurance, healthcare, and logistics creates sustained demand for senior program leaders. Lincoln is the secondary market, driven primarily by state government contractors, university-affiliated organizations, and financial technology companies. Outside these two cities, sponsored director-level program management roles are uncommon in Nebraska.
Are there any Nebraska-specific considerations for international candidates applying for director of program management roles?
Nebraska employers sponsoring director of program management roles must meet the Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements for the Omaha or Lincoln metropolitan areas, which are distinct from national averages. The University of Nebraska system produces a pipeline of international graduate students in business and engineering who sometimes transition into program management tracks, though director-level roles typically require several years of post-degree experience. Nebraska has no state-level immigration restrictions that differ from federal standards, so federal H-1B rules govern the process entirely.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored director of program management jobs in Nebraska?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
