Which companies sponsor visas for director of program management roles in Delaware?
Delaware's largest visa-sponsoring employers for director-level program management roles include JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, and Barclays in financial services, along with life sciences firms such as AstraZeneca, Incyte, and Shire. DuPont and Chemours represent the state's legacy chemical industry. These companies have established HR infrastructure and legal teams that regularly file H-1B visa petitions for senior program management positions.
Which visa types are most common for director of program management roles in Delaware?
The H-1B is the most common visa for director of program management positions in Delaware, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in business, engineering, or a related field, qualifying it as a specialty occupation. Candidates already holding L-1A visas through multinational transfers are also placed into director-level roles. Those with extraordinary ability may pursue the O-1A, though this is less common at this tier.
Which cities in Delaware have the most director of program management sponsorship jobs?
Wilmington accounts for the large majority of director of program management sponsorship opportunities in Delaware. It hosts the state's financial services corridor along with major pharmaceutical and technology employers. Newark, home to the University of Delaware and corporate campuses, generates a smaller but steady share of senior program management openings. Dover sees limited activity at the director level, primarily from state-adjacent contractors and government-facing firms.
How to find director of program management visa sponsorship jobs in Delaware?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters job listings by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search director of program management roles in Delaware without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and role type to surface relevant openings from employers in Wilmington's financial district and Delaware's pharmaceutical and chemical sectors who actively file H-1B petitions at the director level.
Are there any Delaware-specific considerations for director of program management visa sponsorship?
Delaware's incorporation-friendly legal environment means a high concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters are registered here, which translates to more established HR and immigration compliance teams than you'd find with smaller employers. For H-1B purposes, prevailing wage determinations for director of program management roles in Delaware are benchmarked to the Wilmington metropolitan area, which reflects the competitive compensation levels typical of financial services and life sciences employers in the region.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored director of program management jobs in Delaware?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
