Which companies sponsor visas for project specialists in Colorado?
Large enterprise employers and federal contractors are the most consistent visa sponsors for project specialists in Colorado. Companies like Lockheed Martin, DXC Technology, SAIC, Accenture, and IBM have sponsored H-1B visas for project and program management roles in the state. Consulting firms and technology companies with significant Colorado operations tend to have established immigration support processes compared to smaller regional employers.
Which visa types are most common for project specialist roles in Colorado?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for project specialists in Colorado, particularly for roles requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, engineering, or information systems. The L-1B intracompany transferee visa is also relevant for candidates moving within multinational firms. TN visa status applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or engineering-adjacent project roles.
Which cities in Colorado have the most project specialist sponsorship jobs?
Denver accounts for the largest share of project specialist sponsorship opportunities in Colorado, driven by its concentration of technology companies, consulting firms, and corporate headquarters. Boulder attracts project roles tied to software and research organizations. Colorado Springs sees demand from aerospace and defense contractors. Aurora and Broomfield also host significant employer campuses where project specialist hiring occurs regularly.
How to find project specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify project specialist roles in Colorado where employers are actively open to sponsoring international candidates. You can search by job title and state to surface relevant openings across Denver, Boulder, and Colorado Springs. This saves significant time compared to manually screening postings that rarely disclose sponsorship willingness upfront.
Are there state-specific considerations for project specialists seeking sponsorship in Colorado?
Colorado's EPEWA (Equal Pay for Equal Work Act) requires employers to disclose compensation ranges in job postings, which gives international candidates useful context when evaluating whether a role is likely to meet H-1B prevailing wage requirements before applying. The state's strong university pipeline from CU Boulder and Colorado State University also means employers in the region are generally familiar with OPT and STEM OPT work authorization timelines, which can ease early conversations about sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project specialist jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
