Search Hospitality Jobs in DelawareHospitality H-1B Sponsorship Jobs in Delaware: Frequently Asked Questions
Which hospitality companies in Delaware sponsor H-1B visas?
Delaware's H-1B visa hospitality sponsors have included large hotel management companies operating Hilton, Marriott, and Hyatt-branded properties, as well as casino resort operators like Delaware Park and Dover Downs Hotel and Casino. Corporate hospitality and food service management firms with Delaware headquarters or regional offices have also filed petitions, primarily for roles requiring specialized degrees in hospitality management, culinary arts, or business administration.
Which cities in Delaware have the most hospitality H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Wilmington sees the highest concentration of sponsored hospitality roles, driven by its business hotel market and corporate event venues. Dover, as the state capital, has casino resort properties that generate periodic H-1B filings. The coastal resort corridor around Rehoboth Beach and Lewes offers seasonal hospitality demand, though H-1B sponsorship there tends to be limited given the visa's full-time, year-round employment requirement.
What types of hospitality roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship in Delaware?
H-1B sponsorship in hospitality requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field must be a standard minimum requirement for the role. In Delaware, sponsored positions have typically included food and beverage managers, hotel general managers, event services directors, revenue management analysts, and culinary professionals with formal culinary or hospitality management degrees. Front-line service roles generally do not qualify.
How do I find hospitality H-1B sponsorship jobs in Delaware?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by state, visa type, and industry to surface Delaware hospitality employers that have a history of H-1B sponsorship. Because sponsoring an H-1B requires significant employer investment, targeting companies with prior filings in Delaware's hospitality sector meaningfully improves your chances of finding a role that is genuinely open to sponsorship.
Are there any Delaware-specific considerations for hospitality H-1B sponsorship?
Delaware's relatively small size means the pool of hospitality employers actively sponsoring H-1B visas is narrower than in larger states. However, the state's proximity to Philadelphia and the Washington D.C. metro area means some multi-property hotel management companies operating across the region file petitions through Delaware-based entities. Workers should confirm that the sponsoring entity is the specific Delaware property or office where they will actually be employed, as worksite location affects Labor Condition Application filing.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B hospitality jobs in Delaware?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
