Which staffing companies sponsor H-1B visas in Delaware?
Staffing firms with a track record of H-1B visa sponsorship activity in Delaware include Aston Carter, TEKsystems, Randstad, and Apex Group. These agencies primarily serve Delaware's financial services and pharmaceutical sectors, placing technical and professional contractors at large employers headquartered in the Wilmington area. H-1B filings from staffing companies appear in the Department of Labor's OFLC disclosure data, which is publicly searchable.
Which cities in Delaware have the most staffing H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Wilmington accounts for the large majority of staffing H-1B activity in Delaware, given its concentration of Fortune 500 financial institutions, major banks, and corporate headquarters. Newark, home to the University of Delaware and a growing tech corridor, sees secondary demand, particularly for IT and engineering contract roles. Dover has limited staffing H-1B activity outside of government-adjacent professional services.
What types of staffing roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship in Delaware?
H-1B sponsorship through staffing agencies in Delaware is most common for specialty occupation roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. In practice, this covers software engineers, data analysts, financial analysts, compliance specialists, and clinical research associates. Generalist administrative or sales positions placed by staffing firms rarely meet the specialty occupation standard USCIS requires for H-1B approval.
How do I find staffing H-1B sponsorship jobs in Delaware?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters listings by visa sponsorship type, making it straightforward to browse staffing H-1B jobs in Delaware without sifting through postings that don't sponsor. You can filter by state and industry to surface relevant agencies and openings. Given the concentration of activity in Wilmington, focusing your search on that metro will return the most results.
Are there any state-specific considerations for H-1B staffing jobs in Delaware?
Delaware's incorporation-friendly legal environment means many large corporations are legally domiciled here, but their actual operations and job sites are often elsewhere. For H-1B purposes, the work location on the Labor Condition Application must reflect where you physically perform the work, not just where the employer is incorporated. If a staffing placement involves remote work or a site outside Delaware, the LCA must list those locations accurately.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B staffing jobs in Delaware?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
