Search Distribution & Wholesale Jobs in DelawareDistribution & Wholesale Jobs in Delaware: Frequently Asked Questions
Which distribution and wholesale companies sponsor H-1B visas in Delaware?
Amazon operates fulfillment and distribution infrastructure in the Wilmington area and has filed H-1B visa Labor Condition Applications for supply chain and operations roles. DuPont and AstraZeneca maintain distribution and procurement functions in Delaware and have documented H-1B sponsorship histories. Smaller wholesale and logistics firms along the I-95 corridor also file LCAs, though less frequently. Reviewing OFLC disclosure data by employer and state gives the clearest picture of recent filing activity.
Which cities in Delaware have the most distribution and wholesale H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Wilmington is Delaware's primary hub for distribution and wholesale H-1B activity, given its concentration of corporate headquarters and proximity to major East Coast freight routes. Newark, home to the University of Delaware and several life sciences supply chain operations, also sees H-1B filings in this sector. Dover and Middletown are emerging logistics corridors but have lower H-1B sponsorship volume compared to New Castle County overall.
What types of distribution and wholesale roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship in distribution and wholesale generally applies to roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Qualifying positions commonly include supply chain analysts, logistics engineers, procurement specialists, demand planning managers, and operations research analysts. Roles like warehouse associates or general drivers do not meet the specialty occupation threshold. O*NET occupation profiles and USCIS policy guidance on specialty occupations are the authoritative references for determining whether a specific role qualifies.
How do I find distribution and wholesale H-1B sponsorship jobs in Delaware?
Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for distribution and wholesale employers in Delaware that have filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications with the DOL, so you're only seeing companies with verified sponsorship history in this sector. This is more targeted than a general job search because it surfaces employers who have already navigated the H-1B process for comparable roles. You can further narrow results by job title and location within Delaware to prioritize Wilmington and New Castle County employers.
Are there any Delaware-specific or industry-specific factors that affect H-1B sponsorship in distribution and wholesale?
Delaware's status as a major corporate domicile means many distribution and wholesale companies are legally incorporated there, but their operational H-1B filings reflect where the work is actually performed. For supply chain roles, the work-site location on the Labor Condition Application must match where the employee works, which affects prevailing wage requirements. Delaware falls within the Philadelphia-Wilmington labor market for DOL wage determinations, so employers use OFLC Wage Search data calibrated to that metropolitan area.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B distribution & wholesale jobs in Delaware?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
