Which distribution and wholesale companies sponsor H-1B visas in Utah?
Several large distribution and wholesale employers in Utah have filed H-1B petitions, including Sysco's Intermountain division, C.R. England, and companies within the Salt Lake City logistics corridor. Larger national wholesalers with Utah operations, such as Grainger and Fastenal, have also sponsored H-1B workers in supply chain and operations roles. Sponsorship willingness varies by company size, role type, and the availability of qualified domestic candidates.
Which cities in Utah have the most distribution and wholesale H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City and its surrounding metro areas, including West Valley City, Murray, and Ogden, concentrate the majority of Utah's distribution and wholesale H-1B activity. The Wasatch Front's interstate access via I-15 and I-80 has made it a regional distribution hub, attracting warehouse operations, wholesale headquarters, and third-party logistics providers that generate the most H-1B-eligible professional and managerial roles in the state.
What types of distribution and wholesale roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship in distribution and wholesale generally applies to specialty occupation roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Qualifying positions commonly include supply chain analysts, demand planning managers, procurement specialists, logistics operations managers, and warehouse technology engineers. Roles like warehouse associates or general drivers do not qualify because they do not require a specialized degree as a standard entry requirement for the position.
How do I find distribution and wholesale H-1B sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate lists distribution and wholesale jobs in Utah from employers with a documented history of H-1B sponsorship, so you can filter specifically for roles relevant to your visa situation. Rather than sorting through general job listings where sponsorship availability is unclear, Migrate Mate focuses on positions where sponsorship is part of the employer's hiring pattern, saving significant time for international candidates targeting Utah's wholesale and logistics sector.
Are there any Utah-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in distribution and wholesale?
Utah's strong economic growth and low unemployment have made competition for skilled supply chain professionals high, which can motivate employers to sponsor H-1B workers when domestic candidates are scarce. However, smaller regional distributors, which make up a large share of Utah's wholesale sector, often lack the HR infrastructure to manage H-1B filings. Candidates tend to have the strongest outcomes targeting mid-to-large employers with established immigration programs and dedicated HR teams.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B distribution & wholesale jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
