Which staffing companies in Montana sponsor H-1B visas?
National staffing firms with Montana operations, including Kelly Services, Staffmark, and Manpower, have filed H-1B visa Labor Condition Applications for roles in the state. Sponsorship is not universal across all branches or positions. Large national staffing companies are generally more likely to have established H-1B processes than smaller regional agencies, since they have dedicated HR and legal infrastructure to manage the filing requirements.
Which cities in Montana have the most staffing H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Billings is Montana's largest city and the most active market for staffing H-1B sponsorship, driven by its healthcare, energy, and financial services sectors. Missoula follows, with demand in healthcare and technology staffing. Great Falls and Helena also see activity, particularly for government-adjacent and healthcare staffing placements. Rural areas of Montana have minimal H-1B staffing activity due to lower employer density and specialized workforce demand.
What types of staffing roles in Montana typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship through staffing firms in Montana is most common for specialty occupation roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Examples include registered nurses, software developers, engineers, financial analysts, and medical imaging technologists. General administrative or light industrial placements typically do not qualify. USCIS requires that the position itself constitute a specialty occupation, regardless of whether it is filled through a staffing agency or a direct employer.
How do I find staffing H-1B sponsorship jobs in Montana?
Migrate Mate lists staffing H-1B sponsorship jobs in Montana filtered by employer LCA filing history, so you can identify which agencies have actively sponsored workers in the state. Search by the staffing industry tag and filter for Montana locations to surface relevant openings. Because staffing firms place workers at client sites, confirm with the agency whether H-1B sponsorship applies to the specific role and end client before applying.
Are there any Montana-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship through staffing agencies?
Montana's prevailing wage requirements apply to every H-1B position, meaning the staffing agency must certify through an LCA that the offered wage meets DOL standards for the occupation and location. Because Montana wages can differ from national averages, workers should verify the applicable prevailing wage using the OFLC Wage Search tool. Additionally, staffing agencies operating as H-1B sponsors must comply with the benching rule, which prohibits paying workers below the LCA wage during non-productive periods between assignments.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B staffing jobs in Montana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
