Which companies sponsor visas for service coordinators in Delaware?
ChristianaCare and Nemours Children's Health are among the most active visa sponsors in Delaware for service coordinator and care coordination roles. Nonprofit agencies connected to the Delaware Division of Developmental Disabilities Services and behavioral health organizations in Wilmington and Newark also have sponsorship histories. Sponsorship availability varies by position and employer, so confirming directly with hiring teams is always worthwhile.
Which visa types are most common for service coordinator roles in Delaware?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for service coordinator positions that require a bachelor's degree in a specialty field such as social work, healthcare administration, or a related discipline. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. Some roles in nonprofit or government-affiliated settings may also support permanent residence sponsorship through EB-3 pathways.
Which cities in Delaware have the most service coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Wilmington concentrates the highest number of service coordinator opportunities, driven by its healthcare system anchored by ChristianaCare and a dense network of nonprofit social services organizations. Newark, home to the University of Delaware, also generates demand through affiliated health and research programs. Dover, as the state capital, hosts state agency and social services roles, particularly within Delaware Health and Social Services.
How to find service coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Delaware?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters service coordinator roles in Delaware by visa sponsorship status, so you are not sifting through listings that do not apply to you. The platform covers employers across Wilmington, Newark, and Dover, including healthcare systems and nonprofit agencies. Setting up a search on Migrate Mate for Delaware service coordinator roles is the most direct way to find verified sponsorship opportunities.
Are there state-specific considerations for service coordinator roles in Delaware?
Delaware's relatively small size means the employer pool is concentrated, so H-1B sponsorship is most accessible through large healthcare networks like ChristianaCare rather than small agencies. Roles tied to state-funded developmental disabilities or behavioral health programs may carry licensing requirements under Delaware's Division of Professional Regulation. Employers filing Labor Condition Applications must meet prevailing wage standards set for New Castle, Kent, and Sussex counties respectively.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored service coordinator jobs in Delaware?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
