Which companies in Florida sponsor visas for engineering senior managers?
Aerospace and defense contractors including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and L3Harris are among the most consistent H-1B visa sponsors for engineering leadership roles in Florida. Technology firms like Chewy, Jabil, and Citrix have also filed LCAs for senior engineering management positions. Large employers with established HR and legal infrastructure are generally better positioned to handle sponsorship for senior-level hires.
What visa types are most common for engineering senior managers in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for engineering senior managers in Florida, covering specialty occupations that require at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field. Candidates with significant international experience or intracompany transfer history may also qualify for the L-1A, which covers managers and executives transferring within a multinational organization. Australian citizens may have access to the E-3 visa as an alternative to the H-1B.
Which cities in Florida have the most engineering senior manager sponsorship jobs?
Orlando leads the state for engineering senior manager sponsorship activity, driven by a dense aerospace and defense industry presence around the Space Coast and Central Florida technology corridor. Miami and Tampa are strong secondary markets, particularly in fintech, software, and hardware manufacturing. The Melbourne-Palm Bay metro, home to Harris Corporation and Northrop Grumman facilities, also generates consistent demand for senior engineering leadership.
How to find engineering senior manager visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters engineering senior manager roles in Florida by visa sponsorship availability, so you're not manually screening out employers who don't sponsor. The platform aggregates positions across Florida's aerospace, defense, fintech, and technology sectors. Given the seniority of these roles, filtering for companies with documented H-1B or L-1 visa filing history can help narrow your search to employers with active sponsorship programs.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for engineering senior managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Florida's aerospace and defense sector involves significant federal contracting work, which can affect sponsorship timelines and security clearance requirements. Some positions near Kennedy Space Center or at defense contractors may require U.S. citizenship or permanent residency for clearance eligibility, limiting sponsorship options at certain firms. The state's growing university pipeline, particularly through the University of Florida and University of Central Florida, has also increased local competition for senior engineering management roles from candidates already authorized to work.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored engineering senior manager jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
