Which technology companies in Florida sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas?
Florida-based technology employers with documented H-1B1 Singapore Labor Condition Application filings include IBM, Cognizant, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, and Wipro, particularly in Miami and Tampa. Larger consulting and enterprise technology firms tend to have established processes for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship, though filing activity varies by year and business need. Reviewing DOL LCA disclosure data gives the most accurate picture of which employers have filed recently.
Which Florida cities have the most technology H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads Florida for technology H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship activity, supported by its fintech sector and proximity to Latin American operations. Tampa follows, with concentrations in cybersecurity, financial technology, and enterprise software. Orlando has a growing technology workforce tied to simulation, defense contracting, and hospitality tech. Jacksonville also has a presence through financial services technology teams. Each city has distinct industry sub-sectors that shape which roles attract sponsorship.
What types of technology roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in Florida?
Roles that typically qualify are those requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related technical field. Software engineers, data scientists, cybersecurity analysts, cloud architects, systems analysts, and DevOps engineers are common qualifying positions. USCIS evaluates whether the role constitutes a specialty occupation, meaning the position normally requires a degree in a specific discipline. O*NET occupation profiles can help confirm whether a given role meets that standard.
How do I find technology H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search: you can filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface Florida technology employers with verified H-1B1 Singapore LCA filing history. This is more targeted than a general job search, since it shows employers who have already sponsored H-1B1 Singapore workers rather than those who may be open to it in principle. Filtering by city within Florida lets you narrow further to Miami, Tampa, or Orlando roles.
Are there Florida-specific or technology-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects total compensation comparisons but does not change H-1B1 visa sponsorship requirements. On the technology side, employers must certify in the LCA that the offered wage meets or exceeds the prevailing wage for the occupation in the specific Florida metropolitan area, not a national average. You can verify area-specific prevailing wage levels using the OFLC Wage Search. Florida's technology market spans distinct metros, so prevailing wages differ between Miami, Tampa, and Orlando for the same role.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore technology jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
