Which companies sponsor visas for service team members in Florida?
Large hospitality and entertainment employers in Florida are the most active sponsors for service team member roles. Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando in the Orlando area, along with major hotel groups like Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt in Miami and Tampa, have histories of sponsoring international workers. Sponsorship is more common at corporate-scale properties than at smaller independent operators.
Which visa types are most common for service team member roles in Florida?
The H-2B visa temporary nonimmigrant visa is frequently used for seasonal service roles in Florida's hospitality and tourism sectors. For longer-term or more specialized positions, employers may use H-1B visa if the role meets specialty occupation criteria, or J-1 visa for exchange visitor programs at qualifying hospitality organizations. The appropriate visa depends on the specific role, employer type, and employment duration.
Which cities in Florida have the most service team member sponsorship jobs?
Orlando is the most active market, driven by its large theme parks and convention hospitality industry. Miami follows closely given its international hotel brands, cruise industry support roles, and resort properties along South Beach. Tampa also generates consistent demand through its growing hospitality sector and convention facilities. Fort Lauderdale and Jacksonville round out the secondary markets for service team member roles.
How to find service team member visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the U.S. You can filter directly for service team member roles in Florida to see employers who have indicated sponsorship availability. This saves significant time compared to screening general job listings that rarely clarify sponsorship status, which is especially useful in Florida's fast-moving hospitality hiring market.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for service team member sponsorship?
Florida's seasonal tourism cycles affect sponsorship patterns. Demand peaks around winter months when northern visitors arrive and during summer theme park seasons, which aligns with H-2B petition windows. Orlando's concentration of large entertainment employers creates a more sponsorship-friendly environment than most states. Candidates with prior hospitality experience and food safety certifications are generally more competitive for sponsored service team member roles in Florida.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored service team member jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
