Which companies sponsor visas for strategy consultants in Florida?
The Big Four accounting and consulting firms, Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG, are among the most active H-1B visa sponsors for strategy consultants across Florida. McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Accenture, and Booz Allen Hamilton also have Florida offices with documented sponsorship histories. Larger regional financial institutions and healthcare systems headquartered in Miami, Tampa, and Jacksonville occasionally sponsor consulting roles as well.
Which visa types are most common for strategy consultant roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for strategy consultants in Florida, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher in business, economics, or a related field. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals with qualifying credentials. Australians may be eligible for the E-3 visa. L-1 visa transfers apply when candidates are moving from an overseas office of the same employer.
Which cities in Florida have the most strategy consultant sponsorship jobs?
Miami generates the highest volume of strategy consultant sponsorship activity in Florida, driven by its concentration of multinational corporations, private equity firms, and Latin American regional headquarters. Tampa is a growing hub for consulting work tied to financial services and healthcare. Orlando sees demand from hospitality, theme park, and healthcare consulting. Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale have smaller but active professional services markets.
How to find strategy consultant visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters strategy consultant roles specifically by visa sponsorship availability, letting you browse Florida opportunities without sifting through postings that won't support work authorization. Because sponsorship willingness varies widely by firm size and office location, using Migrate Mate to target Florida-based strategy consultant roles at known sponsors saves significant time compared to applying broadly and discovering sponsorship limitations late in the process.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for strategy consultants seeking visa sponsorship?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since the Department of Labor's wage determinations are based on the metropolitan area where work is performed. Consultants placed on client sites across multiple Florida cities may need to account for location-specific LCA requirements. Miami's bilingual business environment can be an asset for internationally trained consultants, particularly those with experience in Latin American markets, without affecting sponsorship eligibility.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy consultant jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
