Which distribution and wholesale companies sponsor TN visas in Florida?
Florida-based distributors and wholesalers that have a track record of sponsoring skilled foreign workers include Sysco Corporation (headquartered in Houston but with major Miami and Tampa operations), World Fuel Services, Ryder System, and large import-export wholesale operations clustered in the Miami Free Trade Zone. Sponsorship availability depends on the specific role, the employer's familiarity with TN visa requirements, and whether the position qualifies as a specialty occupation under NAFTA/USMCA-listed categories.
Which cities in Florida have the most distribution and wholesale TN sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads by a wide margin, driven by its status as a gateway for Latin American and Caribbean trade, with a dense concentration of wholesale importers, distributors, and third-party logistics firms. Tampa and Orlando follow, supported by large regional distribution centers and industrial supply companies. Jacksonville also sees demand, particularly in maritime freight and wholesale building materials distribution tied to its major port operations.
How do I find distribution and wholesale TN sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find distribution and wholesale roles in Florida where employers are open to TN visa sponsorship. You can filter specifically by TN visa type and the distribution and wholesale industry to surface relevant postings. Beyond the job board, targeting Florida employers with established cross-border supply chains, particularly those dealing with Canadian or Mexican suppliers, can improve your chances since those companies tend to be more familiar with TN requirements.
What types of distribution and wholesale roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visas require the position to fall within a USMCA-listed occupational category. In distribution and wholesale, roles that commonly align include industrial engineers (optimizing warehouse and supply chain processes), management consultants engaged in logistics strategy, accountants supporting wholesale financial operations, and computer systems analysts working on inventory or logistics software. General warehouse, sales, or operations management roles typically do not qualify unless they meet the specific USMCA professional category requirements.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in distribution and wholesale?
Florida's concentration of import-export wholesale businesses means many employers deal regularly with cross-border trade involving Canada and Mexico, which can make them more receptive to TN sponsorship compared to employers with purely domestic operations. However, Florida's distribution sector also has a high volume of roles that do not meet TN professional category requirements. Canadian citizens can apply for TN status directly at ports of entry, including Miami International Airport, which is a designated TN processing point.
