Which logistics & supply chain companies sponsor visas in Georgia?
Major sponsors include UPS (headquartered in Atlanta), Home Depot, Coca-Cola, Delta Air Lines, and Norfolk Southern. The Port of Savannah attracts international shipping companies, while Atlanta's distribution centers house operations for Amazon, FedEx, and numerous third-party logistics providers. Many companies sponsor H-1B visas for supply chain analysts, logistics engineers, and operations managers.
Which cities in Georgia have the most logistics & supply chain sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta dominates with its airport hub and corporate headquarters, followed by Savannah due to its major port operations. Macon and Augusta also offer opportunities through regional distribution centers. Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson airport creates unique demand for cargo operations and logistics coordination roles that often qualify for visa sponsorship.
How to find logistics & supply chain visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Use Migrate Mate to search specifically for logistics and supply chain roles in Georgia that offer visa sponsorship. Focus on major employers in Atlanta's corporate corridor and companies near the Port of Savannah. Target positions in supply chain analytics, logistics engineering, and operations management, which commonly qualify for H-1B sponsorship in Georgia's transportation-focused economy.
Which visa types are most common for logistics & supply chain roles in Georgia?
H-1B visas dominate for analytical and engineering roles like supply chain analysts, logistics engineers, and operations research analysts. L-1 transfers are common given Atlanta's international corporate presence. Some companies use TN visas for Canadian and Mexican professionals in qualifying logistics positions. O-1 visas occasionally apply for executives with extraordinary logistics expertise.
What are the prevailing wage considerations for logistics jobs in Georgia?
Georgia's prevailing wages for logistics roles vary significantly between Atlanta's higher-cost metro area and other regions. Atlanta commands premium wages due to corporate headquarters concentration, while Savannah and smaller cities typically offer lower prevailing wage requirements. Companies must meet Department of Labor wage standards specific to the job location and role level.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored logistics & supply chain jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
