We're adding to the E Tech Group Team! We seek early-career engineers interested in mission-critical infrastructure. As an Entry-Level Data Center Engineer, you'll support the design, implementation, and commissioning of data center systems, working alongside experienced engineers across power, cooling, controls, and network infrastructure.
This role is hands-on and fast-paced; you'll gain exposure to real-world projects while developing the technical and professional skills needed to grow into a fully independent engineer. We offer clear paths to advance into Controls, Electrical, or Project Engineer roles.
You Will:
- Support engineering and project teams in the design and deployment of data center infrastructure systems (power, cooling, controls, and monitoring)
- Assist with development of technical documentation including drawings, specifications, and commissioning plans
- Participate in on-site activities such as system testing, startup, and commissioning
- Help troubleshoot system issues across electrical, mechanical, and controls systems
- Support integration of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) platforms
- Work with senior engineers to ensure designs meet client requirements, industry standards, and uptime expectations
- Maintain accurate project documentation and contribute to project reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, field technicians, and client
- Be an ambassador who embodies our Core Values, prioritizing the success of E Tech Group, our clients, and the professional development of our associates.
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 0–2 years relevant experience; internships, co-ops, and lab work preferred.
- Foundational understanding of electrical or mechanical systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a hands-on environment
- Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and schematics
- Willingness to travel 30-50% (mostly local with remote support)
- A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork.
You may have:
- Exposure to data center environments or mission-critical facilities
- Familiarity with:
- Exposure to PLC or DDC controlled data center projects
- HVAC or cooling systems.
- PLCs, SCADA, or BMS platforms
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools
- Basic understanding of networking concepts or industrial controls
- Internship experience with a contractor, OEM, or system integrator
