Which companies sponsor visas for product engineers in Georgia?
Atlanta-headquartered technology and fintech companies are the most active sponsors for product engineers in Georgia. NCR Voyix, Global Payments, Cox Enterprises, and Fiserv have consistent H-1B filing histories for product and engineering roles. Larger consulting firms with Atlanta offices, including Accenture and Infosys, also sponsor product engineers. USCIS LCA disclosure data is publicly available and lets you verify which employers have filed for comparable roles.
Which visa types are most common for product engineer roles in Georgia?
The H-1B is the most common visa category used for product engineer roles in Georgia, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field. L-1B visas appear for intracompany transfers within multinationals with Georgia offices. Candidates from Australia may also find E-3 eligibility, and those from Canada or Mexico may qualify under the TN category for certain engineering designations.
How to find product engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse product engineer roles in Georgia without manually sorting through positions that don't sponsor. The platform surfaces openings from Georgia employers with documented sponsorship activity, which is particularly useful for narrowing down Atlanta-area fintech and enterprise technology companies that actively file H-1B petitions for product engineering positions.
Which cities in Georgia have the most product engineer sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the substantial majority of product engineer sponsorship opportunities in Georgia, driven by its concentration of technology, fintech, media, and logistics companies. Buckhead and Midtown Atlanta are home to many corporate headquarters and regional offices that hire product engineers. Alpharetta, just north of Atlanta, hosts a significant cluster of financial technology firms and has become a secondary hub for sponsored engineering roles in the state.
Are there any Georgia-specific factors that affect product engineer visa sponsorship?
Georgia Tech in Atlanta produces a well-regarded engineering talent pipeline, which means local employers are accustomed to recruiting internationally and navigating sponsorship processes. The state's fintech concentration, sometimes called the 'Transaction Alley' corridor, means product engineers with payments, financial infrastructure, or platform experience are in higher demand here than in most other Southeast markets. Employers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the Atlanta or Alpharetta metropolitan area when filing LCAs for these roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product engineer jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
