Which companies in Georgia sponsor visas for project program managers?
Large Atlanta-headquartered employers are the most active sponsors for project program manager roles in Georgia. Delta Air Lines, The Home Depot, NCR Voyix, Anthem, and Fiserv have consistent histories of H-1B visa sponsorship in program and project management functions. Global technology firms with Atlanta offices, including Microsoft, Salesforce, and IBM, also sponsor project program managers regularly through established immigration programs.
Which visa types are most common for project program managers in Georgia?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for project program managers in Georgia, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, engineering, or information systems. Candidates with multinational employer backgrounds may also be considered for L-1B or L-1A visas depending on their prior employment history with the sponsoring company.
Which cities in Georgia have the most project program manager sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the overwhelming majority of project program manager sponsorship opportunities in Georgia. The broader metro area, including Alpharetta, Sandy Springs, and Dunwoody, concentrates significant activity due to technology campuses and corporate headquarters clustered along the GA-400 corridor. Smaller concentrations exist in Savannah, driven by logistics and port-adjacent operations, and in Augusta, which has a growing cybersecurity and defense sector.
How to find project program manager visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship, and you can filter directly for project program manager roles in Georgia to see employers with active sponsorship histories. Because not every job posting explicitly states visa sponsorship availability, using a platform like Migrate Mate that screens for sponsoring employers saves significant time compared to applying broadly and screening manually.
Are there state-specific factors that affect project program manager sponsorship in Georgia?
Georgia's large public university system, including Georgia Tech and Georgia State University, creates a steady pipeline of candidates on OPT, which means many Atlanta employers are already familiar with sponsorship processes for program management roles. Georgia also hosts a significant number of foreign-owned manufacturing and technology firms, particularly in the automotive and fintech sectors, which tend to have structured global mobility programs and prior sponsorship experience.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project program manager jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
