Which companies sponsor visas for project program managers in New Jersey?
Pharmaceutical and life sciences employers are among the most active sponsors, including Johnson & Johnson, Merck, and Becton Dickinson. Large technology and consulting firms such as Cognizant, Tata Consultancy Services, and Infosys also regularly sponsor project program managers across New Jersey. Financial services companies headquartered in Jersey City, including those in banking and insurance, round out the major sponsoring employer categories in the state.
Which visa types are most common for project program manager roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for project program managers in New Jersey, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, engineering, or information technology. The L-1B and L-1A are also used for intracompany transfers at multinationals. Some candidates with advanced qualifications pursue EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based green card sponsorship directly through New Jersey employers.
How to find project program manager visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship, and it allows you to filter project program manager roles by state, including New Jersey. Because not all employers advertise sponsorship availability openly, Migrate Mate focuses on employers with documented sponsorship histories, making it easier to focus your search on companies in New Jersey that are actually open to sponsoring candidates for program management positions.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most project program manager sponsorship jobs?
Parsippany, Princeton, and Bridgewater form a dense corridor of pharmaceutical and consumer goods employers that regularly post project program manager roles with visa sponsorship. Jersey City is the primary hub for financial services and fintech hiring. Edison and Iselin have a high concentration of IT consulting and technology services firms. These locations account for the majority of sponsored program management hiring activity across New Jersey.
Are there any New Jersey-specific considerations for project program managers seeking visa sponsorship?
New Jersey's concentration of life sciences and pharmaceutical employers means project program managers with experience in regulated industries, particularly those familiar with FDA compliance, clinical trial operations, or GxP environments, are in higher demand and more likely to attract sponsorship. The state's proximity to New York City also means some roles are posted under New Jersey addresses but operate across both states, which can affect the Labor Condition Application prevailing wage determination that employers must file before sponsoring an H-1B.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project program manager jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
